GETTING TO KNOW YOU

Get to know a little more about the members of our church family!

who's who

Our member spotlight this month is Bob Stotz.
Watch the interview below to find out more about Bob and his homemade bread.  Bob bakes delicious and healthy wheat bread for our Sabbath potluck dinners as well as for his friends and family and neighbors as part of his mission for Jesus Christ.

what's cooking?

Recipe of the Month:  Bob's Bread
by Bob Stotz
ingredients:

4 cups warm water
3 packages dry yeast
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup oil
2 tbs salt
8 cups whole wheat flour
6 cups white flour

*makes 3-4 loaves

directions:

Dissolve yeast in water.  Add sugar, salt, and oil to yeast mixture.  When adding flour to above ingredients, alternate whole wheat then white flour until you reach desired consistency.  Use as little flour as possible for moister bread.

Knead 10-15 minutes.  Round in large greased bowl.  Oil top and place damp cloth over it to keep from forming dry crust.  Set in warm place (8o-90° F) about 1/2 to 1 1/2 hours or until dough doubles.

Divide into 3-4 loaves.  Place in greased pans. Let stand for 1/2 hour covered with damp cloth.  Bake at 375° F for 30 minutes.
